TORONTO, CAN (April, 2010) - Teknion Corporation today announced the introduction of its Topic swivel
conference chair designed by
Swiss furniture manufacturer Girsberger.
“Topic has a modern, yet timeless style that makes it a perfect fit for
today’s boardrooms and conference rooms, or as a visitor chair,” said Kees
Breeuwsma, Vice President of Seating, Teknion. “With a relatively slender
shell, Topic is extremely comfortable, thanks to its gently contoured backrest and strong,
luxurious seating upholstery.”
Topic was designed by Dieter Stierli, who has worked for Girsberger for over 30 years. The chair provides shock-absorbing suspension for a high level of comfort and
support, and offers the option of full 360-degree swivel or swivel-return. It
also features a four-prong base. Topic is available upholstered in Teknion’s
extensive offering of standard and graded-in seating fabrics, COM and COL.
Topic and the Connexion task and guest chairs are the first of several
new seating lines designed and engineered by Girsberger that Teknion will
market, sell and support in North and South America under a new collaborative
agreement that enables Girsberger and Teknion to sell each other’s seating
products in their respective markets. Teknion will display Topic, Connexion and
additional Girsberger-designed seating products during NeoCon, June 14-16,
2010, in Chicago.
