Spring Lake, MI (April, 2010) The Truman lounge chair, bench and table are
designed to do a bit of everything – from helping CEOs make decisions and MBA
students study, to welcoming hotel guests and making all types of waiting more
bearable.
Embodying the modernist ethic of simple elegance, the new Truman collection
from Harter by izzy+ looks great from any angle. That’s an important feature for
furniture that’s easy to move and reconfigure. With its airy cast aluminum
framework and signature plyform seat base, Truman can be scaled up or down with
different finishes, and textiles from Momentum Textiles, Knoll Textiles,
Ultrafabrics and Spinneybeck Leather. The Truman lounge without arms and its
matching benches measure 24, 48 or 72 inches wide. With arms, the lounge expands
to 27 1/8 inches, 51 1/8 inches or 75 1/8 inches wide. Lounge height is 33 ¼
inches, with a seat depth of 18 ½ inches. Benches are 17 inches high and 20
inches deep. Complementary tables measure 15 inches high by 23 ½ or 46 ½ inches
wide by 22 ½ inches deep.
The inner back is made of polypropylene / polyethylene (100% post consumer
recycled content), while the inner and outer seats are molded plywood (100%
recyclable). The foam is fabricated urethane. The arms and legs are die cast
aluminum (100% recyclable / 20% post consumer recycled content) and the
stretchers are extruded aluminum.
