JASPER, IN (June 15, 2010) —Kimball(R) Office’s newest lounge series, Villa(TM), complements the way people work by integrating comfort, functionality, style, and simple design. The clean lines and geometric shapes allow the multi-faceted series to provide innovative design opportunities for universities, health care facilities, government agencies, open plans, reception areas, lobbies, and team-oriented companies. Villa will debut during the week of June 14 in the Kimball Office showroom, located on 325 N. Wells, Chicago.

A unique feature of the series is the ability to create free-form lounge configurations to meet the need for multiple niches, distinct groups, or individuals. This versatility is ideal for open plans and student or visitor lounges. Villa’s crisp lines offer natural separation for efficient space division, and optional plateau tables, tablet arms, and freestanding tables increase the collection’s versatility for impromptu meetings, studying, and socializing.
“As the workforce adapts to alternative workplace strategies, with less emphasis on desks and more flexible space for mobile workers, Villa is a solution that easily adapts to changing work environments,” added Fenwick.
All Villa components are connectable to form small or large arrangements. The collection includes one-, two-, and three-seat lounges, with and without one or both arms; benches and ottomans, wedges and corner units; freestanding tables, and plateaus or tablet arms. A full range of upholstery and leather options are available with the option to upholster backs and seats separately, to delineate space through color.
Villa was designed using U.S. Environmental Protection Agency Design for the Environment (DfE) standards and may contribute to Leadership in Energy and Environmental Design (LEED(R)) credits. Orders for Villa will begin in the fall.
